Den 27 januari började den iranska regimen att fängsla strejkande
bussarbetare vid bussbolaget Vahed i Teheran. Man har gripit hundratals
bussarbetare deras barn och fruar samt andra personer som stödjer
strejken.
Det bussarbetarna gick till strejk för var att deras ordförande Masnsour
Oslani och andra fackliga ledare som redan fängslats skulle släppas samt
för rätten att organisera sig, för rimlig lön och rätten att teckna
kollektivavtal.

För att protestera mot detta arrangerar Stöd Kommitté för Tehrans
lokaltrafikfackförening i Stockholm en demonstration i morgon fredag 3
februari. Var med och demonstrera då!

Le escribo para llamar su atención sobre el violento
resultado de una huelga pacífica en Teherán el sábado
28 de enero. La huelga de los trabajadores de la
empresa de autobuses Vahed de Teherán tenía como
objetivo las siguientes reivindicaciones: La
liberación de Ossanlou y los otros dirigentes. La
firma del convenio colectivo. El reconocimiento del
sindicato. Mejores salarios y condiciones laborales.
En lugar de garantizar estas reivindicaciones, las
autoridades de Teherán han escalado aún más la
violencia que comenzó en mayo de 2005, cuando la
“Labour Hose” y el Consejo Islámico del Trabajo
permitieron el ataque a los activista de Vahed que
intentaban crear un sindicato independiente. Durante
este ataque, dirigido por el Secretario del Consejo
Islámico del Trabajo, se intentó cortar la lengua a
Ossanlau (el dirigente del sindicato). Muchos de los
activistas sindicales resultaron heridos y su local
fue destrozado por estos oficiales “laborales” del
gobierno.
En esta ocasión el ataque al sindicato ¡comenzó en las
propias casas de los trabajadores! La noche antes de
la huelga las fuerzas de seguridad atacaron sus casas
e incluso se llevaron a algunas de sus esposas e hijos
para tenerlos bajo vigilancia. El día de la huelga, la
seguridad de la fábrica y oficiales sin uniforme
fueron utilizados para golpear e intimidar a los
trabajadores. Se arrestó a cientos de personas,
incluidos estudiantes de varias universidades de
Teherán que habían ido a la zona 6 para apoyar a los
trabajadores.
Espero que utilice la autoridad de su cargo para
presionar a la autoridad policial y de seguridad para
que libere a todos los trabajadores detenidos, a sus
familias, estudiantes y otros seguidores. Creo que
deberían ser liberados inmediata e incondicionalmente.
Confío en que usted pueda hacer algo para que se
retiren todos los cargos contra los trabajadores y
estudiantes.
Seguiremos de cerca su intervención con relación a
esto en los medios de comunicación internacionales.

Dear Mr President

I write to bring to your attention to the violent outcome of a peaceful strike in Tehran on Saturday 28 January. The strike by the workers of the Vahed Bus Company of Tehran and Suburbs was with the following basic demands:

Instead of granting these demands the authorities in Tehran have further escalated the cycle of violence that began in May 2005 - when 'Labour House' and 'Islamic Labour Council' members were allowed to attack the Vahed activists trying to set up an independent trade union. During this attack, which was led by the Secretary of the 'Islamic Labour Council', an attempt was made to cut out the tongue of Mr Ossanlou (the leader of the union). Many of the trade union activists were injured and their office was ransacked by these government-sanctioned 'labour' officials.

This time the attack on the union began in the workers' homes! On the night before the strike the security forces attacked their homes and even took some of their wives and young children into custody. On the day riot police, factory security, uniformed and plain clothes officers, were used to beat and intimidate drivers back to works. Hundreds of arrests were made, including students from various universities in Tehran who had gone to Area 6 to support the workers.

I hope that you can bring the authority of your office to put pressure on the relevant police and security bodies to release all arrested workers, their families, students and other supporters. I believe that they should be released immediately and unconditionally. I trust that you can also assist in dropping all charges against all workers and students.

¡Manos fuera de los sindicalistas de Vahed Bus Company!
¡Libertad para Mansour Ossanlou!
¡Reconocimiento inmediato del sindicato de Vahed!

Según las últimas noticias recibidas de los activistas del sindicato de Vahed Bus Company, el régimen iraní está intensificando la represión contra el sindicato. El régimen está intentando una variedad de medidas para suprimir la nueva oleada de actividad sindical que se está desarrollando.

Después de la huelga cerca alrededor 3000 conductores de autobús y otros trabajadores de Vahed, todas las cuentas bancarias de los sindicalistas de Vahed han sido congelados y se han bloqueado los pagos de sus salarios. Al mismo tiempo el gobierno está intentando fabricar expedientes basados en acusaciones falsas contra todos los sindicalistas de Vahed, y especialmente contra Mansour Ossanlou, el líder del sindicato de Vahed.

La situación de Mansour Ossanlou es espcialmente preocupante ya que actualmente está en una celda de aislamiento. Él tiene una enfermedad del corazón y necesita urgente cirugía en su ojo (que fue dañado durante el ataque el 9 de mayo, cuando los matones del régimen lo asaltaron e intentaron cortar su lengua).

El 31 de diciembre 2005, el Dr Ghalibaf, alcalde de Tehran, prometió a los miembros del sindicato que él haría todo lo posible para liberar a Ossanlou y resolver los problemas del resto de los trabajadores. Los miembros del sindicato le dieron su ' ultimatum final ' en esta reunión. También están intentando tener una reunión con Sr. Mortazavi, el juez que autorizó las detenciones del 22 de diciembre de 2005.

Los miembros del comité de dirección del Vahed Bus Company de Tehran y suburbios han dejado claro que si estos esfuerzos siguen siendo infructuosos entonces el sindicato volverá a la huelga.

Hacemos un llamamiento a todos los sindicalistas, a los activistas sindicales y a los defensores de los derechos laborales y humanos

a condenar estas actividades anti-sindicales y contra la clase obrera por parte de las autoridades iraníes que han atacado una vez más a este sindicato pionero. Pedimos que envien email, faxes o cartas de protesta a Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (con las copias al Guy Ryder del ICFTU,  Juan Sovamia de la OIT y al IWSN) exigiendo que se retiren las falsas acusaciones contra los sindicalistas de Vahed, que Mansour Ossanlou sea liberado inmediatamente y que el sindicato de Vahed sea reconocido.
